Reed + Chelsea | An October Wedding at Dulany’s Overlook

Have you ever met two people and immediately felt relaxed? That’s how Chelsea and Reed are. They make everyone feel comfortable and like their best friends within seconds. I loved getting to celebrate with them! Reed is the perfect combination of a total goofball and a complete teddy bear. Chelsea has the poise of a Disney princess (and the sparkly Cinderella gown to prove it), but also can get dowwwwwn on the dance floor. For the last decade these two have brought out the best in each other. They have been each other’s safe place. And now, they are husband and wife!

Chelsea is very used to being in front of my camera! She has been a bridesmaid in two weddings for #MarieMedinaCouples. Now this weekend it was her turn! She was the one everyone was there to celebrate! And she totally deserved it. From her hair all the way down to the beaded tips of her veil, Chelsea looked like a fairy tale. She even created all the flowers for the day! You would never know the florals were wooden! Just another beautifully thought out detail from this wedding.

I think my favorite part about Sunday and this couple was their go with the flow, optimistic, ‘let’s do it’ attitude. The forecast called for rain all afternoon, starting right when their ceremony was scheduled to begin. Chelsea and Reed really wanted to get married outside (and when you see these views you’ll know why!), so they went for it. If it rained, it rained! There were a few little sprinkles but luckily the worst of it held off until the reception. They were fine that I kept them out in actual rain during their portraits too! After their drizzly engagement session, I knew these two could handle it like professional models. Magic can happen when couples trust me as much as these two did!
