Chelsea + Reed | A Fall Jefferson Patterson Park Engagement

In the words of Elsa, ‘the cold never bothered me anyway!’ Or in our case, ‘the rain never bothered us!’

Chelsea and Reed met me at Jefferson Patterson Park down in Southern Maryland last night despite a forecast that called for nothing but rain and we made it happen y’all. They were super flexible and trusting which allowed us to get some gorgeousss photos with the cloudy skies and a few light showers. I am so thankful for couples like these two!

Chelsea is no stranger to being in front of my camera, but she’s always been a bridesmaid. Last night it was her turn to shine as a bride! And y’all…she did not disappoint! Her smile is so sweet and genuine that I think it’ll take you about one photo to fall in love with it too. Reed is obviously pretty in love with it already 🙂

I’ve said that rainy engagement sessions are some of my favorites on here before, and that remained true last night. There is something special about snuggling up under an umbrella together that brings out something different in couples. Something about trying to dodge raindrops as you kiss. And pulling her close to keep her safe. It is seriously magical! I am so thankful that Chelsea and Reed trusted me to bring their love to life. A big ‘thank you’ goes out to Mother Nature too for keeping the rain at a light drizzle so we could still have lots of fun. Keep on scrolling to see all the cuteness from yesterday!

These are so fantastic!! I’m so happy they found each other and I can’t wait to call Chelsea my niece! ❤️❤️

  3. […] They were fine that I kept them out in actual rain during their portraits too! After their drizzly engagement session, I knew these two could handle it like professional models. Magic can happen when couples trust me […]
