James + Alexandra | A Timeless Baltimore Area Wedding

Saturday was the definition of a perfect autumn wedding! James and Alex became husband and wife with their closest family and friends cheering them on. This celebration was originally planned to happen at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, but due to COVID they called an audible! Honestly, it worked out so well. They were able to get married and do it on their own terms. Plus, you would never know that this was a backyard wedding! I honestly felt like I was at a wedding venue. Alex and her mom worked so hard to bring their vision to life, and I think they did!

Alex and James are the kind of people that just make you smile. They are always laughing and they wear their hearts on their sleeves. I cannot tell you how many times I caught them stealing kisses, holding hands, and goofing off with one another. It’s so special to witness a love like theirs. They have been together for almost a decade and it seems like they love each other more each day. James is full of energy and a completely fun loving, jovial guy. Alex is kind, nurturing, and can 100% keep up with James’ antics! Honestly, they feel way more like friends than clients to me. I don’t think these two have ever met a stranger!

Every detail of this day was carefully thought out, even though this was the first wedding Alex ever attended! She cared about having the perfect flowers, the most gorgeous dress, and the liveliest reception. From food trucks to peonies, she did it all. I was amazed! Luckily the weather decided to cooperate and we had a perfect autumn day to celebrate these two. Also, this wedding proves that having your ceremony and reception a little earlier in the day can result in some gorgeous outdoor reception images! I think these may be some of my favorite reception photos ever. Plus, a smoke machine during your first dance never hurts 😛

The wedding was perfect thanks to my friend Tina Brown. She did all the decorating and special touches at the wedding….table flower arrangements, light up hair garland, phono backdrop, bathroom decorations, so many extra touches….what meant the most she was always there with me through the whole wedding process.
