The Aschenbachs | A Morning Family Session at Sugarloaf Mountain

My day started off the Aschenbach family!

While I was in the Nashville airport two days ago, Beth from Palm Beach Lately (go check out her cute blog!!) messaged me asking if I could squeeze in a family session for them this week while the whole gang was together! It can be so hard to get an entire family in the same place at the same time, so when you do, it is the perfect time for some updated photos…especially when there is a new grand baby! Obviously my answer was YES. I love getting to help families capture their milestones, no matter how old your children are. Now that my brother and I are adults and married, I know firsthand how rare it is to have everyone together and just how special the photos we take are. Beth and her husband, Lawson, live in Florida with their two adorable (seriously scroll to see how much of an understatement that is) girls. They only get to come up to Maryland to see his parents a few weeks each year. With Lawson’s work schedule as a race car driver, he can get very busy very quickly. These quiet days on the farm are a welcome change of pace!

I met them at their 140 acre farm at Sugarloaf Mountain and we had such a blast together! Family sessions with three (or more) generations are always extra fun. The highlight of the session was taking Grace, the spunky four year old you’ll see featured in many of these photos, down to the chicken coop. She has bonded with these guys so capturing her free spirit living her best life on her grandparents’ farm felt like literally stopping time in its tracks. I feel so privileged that is my job to photograph these moments for precious families like the Aschenbachs.
