It is a very busy week y’all and I wouldn’t have it any other way!! After months and months of postponing everything, it feel so good to be back behind the lens…this time with a little helper in my belly! I went back to DC this morning for another sunrise engagement session on the National Mall with Abbie and Andrew. I have chatted with them a few times, but this was the first chance we had to meet in person and it felt like I was seeing best friends. Abbie is a sweetie pie (I mean, she is an #MMPBride after all!), and Andrew is her perfect match. Also, this dude has the best nose crinkling laugh I have ever seen!! I am pretty sure I asked him to giggle more than any groom ever just because I loved it so much. Abbie probably likes it more than I do though 😜
Abbie and Andrew are high school sweethearts and after eight years together, they are tying the knot in October! They live in Arlington now, so DC was the perfect place for them to have their engagement photos. Also, are you guys ready for the coolest part of this whole story?? They grew up in the town right next to me back in New Jersey! Our schools played each other in sports and I am sure that all of us were probably in the same gym, natatorium, or on the same field multiple times during high school! What a small world! We didn’t meet until her friend recommended me as a photographer. I am always amazed at how easy it is to make connections with people! These two feel like my besties because I have never met anyone down here who is from my neck of the woods!
Their wedding plans are still a little unsure because of the coronavirus, but I know they will have a gorgeous wedding day! I mean if they are half as cute as they were this morning, then their pictures will be stunning. I cannot believe how natural and relaxed they were in front of the camera!! Hurry up October!
