Last night, I got together with Tess and Johnny for their engagement session at Rock Creek Park and it was soooo fun to have them back in front of my camera. After their proposal back in January, I knew they were going to be pros last night and they totally were. Tess has one of the all-time best giggle smiles I’ve ever seen y’all! These two lovebirds first met one another through Johnny’s sister because her and Tess were in the same small group with their church. Fun fact, Daniel and I are also in that small group so we got to watch this whole thing unfold! Johnny knew right from their first date that she was something special so he locked her down and put a ring on it!
Watching and encouraging two people as they work to love one another like Jesus is why I do what I do. And Tess and Johnny certainly do that! Seeing how perfectly God has woven them together makes my heart so happy. I cannot wait for June when these two make it official and become husband and wife!
For the first time in my career, I am going to photograph a couple’s proposal, engagement, AND wedding! That’s super special within itself, but what puts it over the top is that they are my friends!
P.S. I think rainy sessions are becoming my new favorite thing! There is something so beautiful and intimate about two people cuddled up under an umbrella together. Bring on the spring rain!!
