I knew the Crowsons were my kind of people when Hannah texted me, “it’s supposed to rain on Friday! We’ll embrace it…”
AND. WE. DID.
AND. IT. WAS. MAGIC.
These two got up at 4am, got all dolled up, and drove to downtown DC this morning with me for their session with the cherry blossoms. Being from Texas, I know they are not people who love the cold. When we met up, Hannah told me she wasn’t worried at all about the weather because she trusted me. That’s truly one of the greatest compliments you can give a photographer! Thank you guys for trusting me and helping make these beautiful images happen!
Hannah is one of the cutest people I’ve ever seen and a professional giggler! Kirkland is incredibly happy and goofy. Basically, they’re the perfect couple and I just want to photograph them all day, every day! Rain, snow, sleet, or hail 😀
Perks of it being a dreary day? We had the Tidal Basin to ourselves! There were only a few brave souls out with us today, and not a single other photo session happening, which blew my mind! On Monday with the Halls, there were photographers left and right! It also was one of the last days of peak bloom because the wind and rain are stripping the trees of their pretty booms as I type this. There was just enough ‘blossom snow’ to make these photos pop! Basically, today was the perfect storm of perfect!
I wasn’t going to blog their session until tomorrow because it’s only been a few hours since I met them in DC, but you’re about to see why I just couldn’t wait! They are straight up models! Scroll to see tons of my favs from our time together this morning!
