It’s the most wonderful time of the year…to get married!!
Mackenzie and Garrett became Mr. and Mrs. Wall yesterday at Walnut Hill and it could not have been more perfect! They took a classy take on Christmas and glammed the holiday up with deep reds, elegant details, and the Army dress blues. It was obvious that these two value tradition and their families through all the little details of their day. Mackenzie wore a ring from one of her late grandmothers, and wrapped a handkerchief from the other around her bouquet. They saved a seat for their loved ones who have passed at their ceremony, and Mackenzie wore her late big brother’s pin in the lining of her dress – given to her by her matron of honor, and her sister in law. There were soooo many special touches sprinkled throughout their wedding that displayed how grounded in love Mackenzie and Garrett are.
Garrett had me shooting through tears basically all day because he was fighting (and losing) them himself! From their first touch and prayer to when he saw his bride walk down the aisle…he couldn’t contain his love. And it was so precious! After 7 years, it feels like their families are already joined. It was a joy to see the official bonding of the Wall and Johnson families! Mackenzie’s niece and nephew already love their ‘uncle G’ and he clearly loves them. I’m telling y’all…it was a day full of goosebumps and tears!
This was the perfect holiday wedding, with just enough touches of Christmas to keep it festive! A social style reception and lots of dancing made for a relaxed, but popping party to celebrate Mr. and Mrs. Wall!
If you feel like you just saw these two on the blog, it’s because you did!
