Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Skibinski!
Eric and Erica’s love story began over 4 years ago over a game of chess. Their relationship evolved as Erica’s large, welcoming family began treating Eric and his family like some of their own. Eric’s years of service in the Navy helped shape his level-headed, strong, and caring demeanor. Erica’s younger siblings and many cousins have given her endless patience and poise. They share a mutual love for board games and competition. Basically these two bring out the best in one another and are the perfect pair! Anyone who meets them instantly feels like their friend. They are such a welcoming and kind couple, which is no surprise once you meet their families. Both of their families are some of the friendliest, happiest, and most hospitable people I’ve met.
These two became husband and wife on Saturday at Erica’s family farm. Her grandmother, the infamous Tootsie, hosted their ceremony and reception in her front yard overlooking the water. There was something extra special about this whole day since each location meant so much to the couple. Erica got ready with all her bridesmaids in the home she grew up in. She did a first look with her dad in the same back yard she used to play with him in as a child. They got married in almost the exact spot where Eric proposed. They watched fireworks while standing in her grandmother’s driveway. This was the place where Erica grew up, where their relationship grew, and now where they started their life as husband and wife. It doesn’t get much more special than that!
Morgan from Social Graces Events brought their dream wedding to life. Each detail was perfectly planned and executed. From Erica’s stunning Essence of Austrailia gown to the seemingly endless twinkle lights to a massive antipasto grazing board, this did not feel like a backyard wedding. It screamed timeless elegance, just like Eric and Erica. They are a classic couple who celebrated the start of their marriage with a refined, yet fun wedding!
